ABOUT TKF

OUR HISTORY

“To empower and support those at risk or affected by kidney disease.”

In December 1969, a small group of physicians, businessmen, patients and their family members held the first meeting of the organization that would become the Tennessee Kidney Foundation (TKF), and in 1972 the organiation became official. Over the years, TKF has continued to raise awareness of kidney disease and its programs have provided access to life-sustaining medical care and preventive disease education and screening resources. TKF is an independent, 501c3 nonprofit serving 42 counties in Middle Tennessee, and it is not affiliated with any national organizations, so it raises and invests 100% of funds locally.
